Heritage....

The awards above belonged to my Grandfather and my Dad. The Marine Corps Globe and Anchor insignia was my Dad's Father's and is from the First World War; he fought in the battle of The Belleau Woods. The Combat Infantry Badge was my Dad's. He landed at Anzio and fought his way into Italy with the 45th Division, then was re-landed on the shores of Southern France after D-Day, heading towards Germany until succumbing to frostbite in the Vosges Mountains. My Dad recuperated at Air Base Depot #2 in England while the 45th made it all the way to Germany liberating Dachau concentration camp on the way to Munich.

My Grandfather was a Marine Corps infantry private, my Dad an Army infantry sergeant. I was a an Army infantry officer.
